Alison is a ceramicist and potter working in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia.

 

Inspired by space, nature, consciousness, and the psychedelic era of the mid-1960s to mid-70s, Alison follows the feeling of each piece of clay to reveal unique characters from a world of their own. 

 

Each piece is hand built or wheel thrown, and then initiated through a naming ritual where a message is intuited and dropped in from the work's unique sense of presence.

 

Each functional piece is is made with great consideration to the user's physical experience of comfort, as well as their sense of connection to whatever they are smoking, drinking, eating, or worshipping.
